For a number of reasons: **What follows are just a few**
- Messages come through in a variety of modalities. Visual, auditory and
impressions. Many mediums see an image, for example, and try to translate
it, giving it their own frame of reference. Sometimes that makes sense to
the client, sometimes it doesn't. For instance, I once saw a crystal pyramid
and spent maybe 20 seconds trying to figure out what it means before giving
up and just telling the client that I saw a crystal pyramid and asking her
what it meant. It turned out, that's what the building she works in looks
like. Had I tried to relate it to Egypt or some other thing; the whole message
would have been lost. Lesson learned? It is always better to give an image
exactly as you get it. Do all mediums do that? No.
- Overlapping messages: have you ever seen a group of people all try
to have their say at once? This can happen in Spirit as well, and can make
Spirit Identification problematic. Especially in families that are- a) very
talkative and b) have several people with the same name. I have seen large
Italian families come through with more than one Joe- and the discriptions
can get jumbled as three guys are all trying to get their messages across
at the same time. At that point, the client needs to say: OK, the first part
sounds like my brother Joe, but that last part is more like my Uncle Joe.
Then, knowing that we are dealing with different energies, it becomes easier
to pull them apart and listen to one at a time. So, if you sense this is happening
in a reading, speak up; it will improve your reading experience considerably!
- The Great Wall O' Fear. This is the client who says they want a reading,
honestly they do- but then they give you the evil eye and basically dare you
to read them. The wall goes up and you can't even feel their energy. You look
for spirit around this person and it's all muddy. Only when they turn their
back and get about 30 feet away can you begin to read them and sense their
issues and spirit people. Please, if you decide to have a reading; be open.
You get much better results that way.
- And really not last, and certainly not least: Styles of Communcation.
It is simply easier to talk with some people than with others. I'm sure you've
noticed this. It's no different once a person goes into Spirit. If they are
friendly, talkative people with whom you would have easily been able to converse
in life; that will still be the case. If not, then the converse will be true.
I've met spirits who are direct, some who are sarcastic, some who are secretive
and couch what they say in some kind of code so that only the client will
get it. When I have projected to them the idea that I don't understand, that
I am less than comfortable with fuzzy unclear information; they often snap
that it isn't important for me to get it. And if I verbalize this to
the client, they say the same thing.
